Coming home from college, I felt burnt out. Not just mental exhaustion, but emotional, spiritual, and creative fatigue. I didn’t want to write, read, post, or even think about it. I just wanted to sleep, scroll, and be still.
So I permitted myself to do that.
Guilt-free. No to-do lists. No productivity hacks. Just softness.
However, after a considerable amount of time, I decided I wanted to get back into a routine. Slowly. And it began with something simple: 15-30 minutes of yoga each morning.

It’s not intense or aesthetic. Some days it’s just cat-cow or child’s pose stretches. I also pair it with at least 10 minutes of meditation after. But in those moments, I feel grounded & connected to my body. Yoga has become a way to gently pick myself up without demanding too much from myself too soon. It’s not about burning calories. It’s about reminding myself that presence is progress.
And with school behind me for now, I finally have space to breathe creatively. I’m so excited to pour into HerBalancedTable this summer. There are projects I’ve been brainstorming all semester, blog series, kitchen experiments, hormone-friendly recipes, and now, they get to come to life. I’ll be travelling this summer, so I can’t wait to see what those experiences bring to this platform!

This season isn’t about a glow-up or a grind. I am still reserving my energy so I don’t end up being burnt out once school is back in session.
It’s about a soft restart. One that honors rest and routine.
And it all starts with 15 minutes of stillness each morning.
I’m coming back to myself. And I’m bringing the blog with me.
“In dealing with those who are undergoing great suffering, if you feel “burnout” setting in, if you feel demoralized and exhausted, it is best, for the sake of everyone, to withdraw and restore yourself. The point is to have a long-term perspective.”
