As June winds down, I’ve been reflecting on the small things that carried me. June was filled with so much action, and I am beyond grateful that I didn’t spend this month staring at my phone all hours of the day (it was a great comeback compared to May..). Today, I want to highlight the daily rituals and quiet wins that made this month feel balanced. These aren’t big transformations, just tiny luxuries that reminded me to nourish myself well and often.
Here’s what made the cut for this month’s favorites:
Matcha of the Month: Iced with a Twist
This June, I fell hard for iced matcha made with milk and a pinch of strawberry syrup. It’s a blood-sugar-friendly morning moment that kept me grounded and energized.
Meal I Couldn’t Stop Repeating: Baked Avocado + Egg with Carrot Salad
Simple, satisfying, and hormone-friendly. I kept coming back to this combo: egg inside avocado, baked in an air fryer, peeled carrots, a drizzle of red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. Protein? ✅ Healthy fats? ✅ Blood sugar support? ✅
It was quick, customizable, and made me feel full and cute. No joke, I was full until almost dinner time.

A Scripture That Shifted Me: Proverbs 6:10–11
“A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.”
Bible study has become my staple in my morning routine. This verse checked me gently and directly. It reminded me that softness doesn’t mean stagnation. I can slow down without losing sight of my goals. It’s about staying aligned with the version of myself I’m becoming, disciplined and full of purpose.
Favorite Blog Post I Wrote: “Why I’m Falling for the Matcha Propaganda”
Read it here 🍵
This post was so fun to write, part confession, part soft science, and a whole lot of love for the little green drink that took over my taste buds (and my For You Page).
It’s not just about aesthetics, it’s about blood sugar balance and health. Matcha propaganda? Yeah, I’m fully converted.
Wellness Ritual That Served: Lymphatic Massages & Facial Exercises
My morning routine leveled up this month. I started incorporating lymphatic drainage massages and facial exercises, and wow, the difference it made. My face looked less puffy, and I genuinely felt more connected to my body.
Mindset That Made Life Softer
“If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.” — Banksy
This month, I let go of the pressure to always be busy. I was so caught up in trying to be busier than I was in May, so I wouldn’t feel lazy, but instead, I incorporated balance. I replaced packed days with present ones. Sometimes that meant skipping a workout for yoga or permitting myself to nap, softness does not mean laziness, because when that burnout comes along, it can cause serious issues.
Soft Wins That Grounded Me This Month
This month wasn’t about extremes; it was about subtle shifts that made me feel more me. Here are a few little resets that added up:
- Dyed my hair back to black (the ginger was eating my hair up!).
- Spent more time in nature.
- Jazz has taken over my playlist. “Tell It Like It Is” by Nina Simone is officially my song of the summer.
- Replaced some screen time with reading time. I am currently reading All About Love by bell hooks, but I do gravitate to Substack quite a lot!
- Got back in the gym consistently, not with any specific gainz in mind, but for energy and structure.
- Cut back on mindless snacking and started eating with more intention.
None of these were “perfect,” but they were me choosing alignment over autopilot.
Long story short, thank you, June. Sometimes wellness is just honoring what makes you feel like you again. Here’s to taking the goodness with us into July, fermented snacks, SPF lip gloss, and all.
